Photo Critique
Participants provide 10 favorite and/or most representative photographs. The photos can be prints or electronic files. Electronic files should be emailed to me at least 2 days prior to the meeting (so we don’t waste workshop time loading images), and be JPEGs sized to 1024 x 768.
I critique the photos in depth, using the same criteria I use as a photography judge, and encourage each of you to participate in the assessment of the other people’s photos as well. The purpose is not only for you to get some feedback on your own photos, but also to learn how to look at other peoples’ photos and assess the strengths and weaknesses.
This workshop is intended for intermediate photographers.

Photo Hike of Great Falls and Mather Gorge (future)
I lead the group on a hike to some of my favorite shooting sites in the area, starting before dawn, and provide relevant photography tips along the way. Either the Maryland or Virginia sides can be explored, but not on the same morning. The hiking involves some rather tricky ascents and descents and uneven footing, so this workshop should only be attempted by persons who are confident hiking on rocky terrain. The path always remains a respectful distance from the water.
This workshop is intended for intermediate and advanced photographers. |
