Parade After the Storm
The Malecon is a coastal road that was built to protect Havana from the seas. It is typically closed during a big storm, but then a lane will eventually open, and the locals will rush out to show off their old American cars. Cubans take great pride in these cars, as well they should since most are held together with a rag-tag collection of car parts from all sorts of vehicles.
In this sequence, I remained in one position on the Malecon and captured old American cars as they drove by in a parade-like formation, strutting their stuff.
In the poster at the end I made every attempt to identify the make and year of each vehicle.
